I have known Chris for some time and I have worked with Chris on perhaps, one of the most challenging design/implementation projects we have been involved in.

Chris is a problem solver extraordinaire. Nothing seems to knock Chris off his stride and he is able to attach a completely objectified view to looking at problems from all sides and coming up with the simplest, the most cost effective and the easiest to implement solution.
Chris is dispassionate in running design and design implementation projects and has a track record of design that is truly enviable.
I have rarely had the pleasure of working with someone who is so talented and capable.
Chris has a unique management style that gets the very best out of people, while at the same time keeping a firm eye on budget and administration issues.
The role in which I have recently worked with Chris on had very strict resource and financial control constraints and Chris has been able to manage the twin aspects of budget control and project delivery - on time and within budget in a very unique and stress-free way.
Chris is an extremely hard worker - we have worked 12-14 hour days on a project we worked on - 7 days a week - and the long hours do not faze Chris at all.
Personally, my company has worked on 100’s of major design projects globally - including several aquariums around the world - Dubai, Russia, Abu Dhabi, US and China and with clients such as Aldar, Nakheel/Emaar, Princess Cruises and Landmark Entertainment - and I am convinced that Chris has the talents and abilities to lead a team in this area.
In my opinion, Chris ticks all the boxes as a leading building designer and builder, particularly bringing a practical and budget conscious approach to pretty much whatever Chris does.
I fully endorse Chris and would not hesitate to work with Chris in the future on any project that Chris may be involved in.
Chris was employed by GJ Gardner Homes from 1990 to 1997. He initially worked at our Caloundra office as an architectural draftsman and new home designer before moving to the Kawana office to take up a multi-position of draftsman, estimator then site based as a construction supervisor and finally relieving area manager prior to the business franchising in 1998.
As a construction supervisor he had a workload of between 15 to 20 new single and double storey homes at any one time. Chris was responsible for all facets of new home construction from job programming to site management of materials, subcontractors, worksite safety, quality, budgets, plan specifications, surveyors, building inspectors, engineers and clients (variations, inspections and site hand-overs).
Chris managed to maintain a professional and positive relationship with subcontractors and our clients and delivered his jobs to plans, quality, contract times and client expectations.
Chris Woodland is competent in all of the above listed responsibilities and tasks within Building and Construction and I highly recommend him as an extremely competent building designer and capable builder.
I have known Chris since 1990 and in my opinion, Chris Woodland is experienced in ALL aspects of building design and construction and is extremely knowledgeable and competent.
Chris was at GJ Gardners form 1990 to 1997 and I was a carpenter on quite a number of new house sites during the four years he was a building supervisor.
Chris successfully ran a number of new house jobs together and supervised each job from set out through to handover meeting with the client. He organised and managed all the trades and supplies, plus ensured that we followed plans, safety, BCA standards and schedule time frames.
I dealt with Chris in his role as draftsman and building designer in 1990, then as an estimator and finally as his manager during 1992 to 1996 when he was a site supervisor. Chris supervised the entire build of single/two storey brick veneer houses and had an average load of 20 jobs in varying stages of completion. As a supervisor, he was expected to coordinate and supervise the entire job to meet completion dates, BCA and OHS requirements.
He was competent at works planning, selecting and scheduling structural and finishing subcontractors, quantities and deliveries, engineering and building certification, profiles, OHS, problem solving and liaising with office staff, contract administrators, estimators, engineers, council inspectors, surveyors, safety officers and home owners.
I was able to witness firsthand Chris’s competence with organising and supervising many new homes. He has the supervision and building design experience expected to deliver the best possible outcome to clients and I recommend him to you.

This includes an initial design consultation with the client to completing a full set of plans including sections, construction details and colour 3D perspectives for container modifications and any other standard onsite construction required.
